Series Overview
Radio aids (or radio navigation aids) are ground-based systems that use radio signals to provide aircraft with position, direction, and distance information, enabling safe navigation in all weather conditions. These aids are critical for Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) operations, allowing pilots to maintain precise course control, avoid terrain and obstacles, and execute precision approaches for landing.
